BMPA May 2025 Update - Passed Inspection!

May 2025

Hello from your BMPA Board,

First, thank you to everyone who helped get BMPA ready for the 2025 season--because we passed the NMED inspection on Friday morning, so we are officially able to operate! Hours will be:

21 May - 23 May (soft open)

6:00 - 7:00 a.m. lane swimming only

4:30 - 7:00 p.m. OPEN (shallow end lane swimming 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.)

24 May (actual opening day!)

12:00 - 7:00 p.m. OPEN (shallow end lane swimming 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.)

Always check our Facebook page and the front doors for any changes. We do our best to communicate, but the board are all volunteers and sometimes time is limited. Regular season hours will be posted on Facebook, the front door, and our website soon.

Second, let’s go over some housekeeping:

  • As a reminder, due to complications with tracking and abuse, the board voted to pause out-of-town guests indefinitely. Each membership still has 15 guest passes for any guest you bring to the pool, and then it’s $5 for each guest (not just each swimmer) at the front desk when you arrive. We are required by our insurance to have liability waivers on file every season for both members and their guests.

  • Due to the many comments we have received from members as well as anticipated usage, lane swimming guests are not permitted at any time for the 2025 season. Sign in at the front desk (with the binder in the morning or with a staff member any other time of day).

  • Remember, in accordance with our bylaws, that your membership is for your household and is not to be shared with other families in the community. Over the past few years, we have noticed many instances where a "sharing" has occurred and, apart from the bylaws violation, it impacts the operation of the pool and could result in assessments becoming even more costly.

As always, we welcome your thoughts, ideas, comments, etc.
